Are you looking to support the Trans Community?

Sponsorships & Partnerships

Sparkle – The National Transgender Charity is a grassroots, volunteer-led registered charity based in the UK. We are proud to serve a diverse and often marginalized community, extending our reach to individuals who identify as transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming. Our work goes beyond supporting those within these communities; we also provide resources and advocacy for their partners, families, friends, and the wider society they are a part of. By fostering understanding, inclusivity, and acceptance, we aim to bridge gaps and create meaningful connections across all aspects of life.

The transgender community, in particular, remains one of the most underserved and overlooked demographics, facing unique challenges that range from healthcare inequality to social stigma and discrimination.

The need for dedicated support, education, and safe spaces has never been more urgent, which is why our work at Sparkle is absolutely vital. We are committed to ensuring that those who are often silenced or marginalized have the platform and resources to thrive, empowering individuals to live authentically and without fear.

Sparkle operates entirely on the passion and commitment of our volunteers—over 85% of whom identify as trans, non-binary, or gender variant themselves. This connection to the community we serve is what makes our charity so unique and powerful. Our team brings lived experience to the work we do, ensuring that we remain deeply rooted in the issues that matter most to the people we support.

As an organization, we have no paid staff or sessional workers; instead, we rely on the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, whose contributions make up the heart and soul of everything Sparkle stands for.

While this model has allowed us to achieve incredible things, we recognize that the future of our charity depends on expanding our efforts and resources, which is why we are always striving for ways to grow and sustain our impact.

What does sponsorship look like?

Our Timeline

In early 2025, Sparkle will begin by launching the 2025 Sponsorship Guide to both existing and prospective sponsors.

This will coincide with the launch of the Sparkle Sanctuary 2025 Sessions, following our highly successful pilot scheme in 2024.

Throughout January, February, and March, Sparkle will also be holding meetings and negotiations regarding sponsorship packages for Sparkle Weekend, as well as preparing for Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st.

By the end of March, Sparkle will carry out a full social media launch for the Sparkle Weekend, highlighting sponsors and supporters.

The Gender Diverse Safer Sex initiative will launch on Monday, April 7th, in observance of World Health Day.

Moving into May, Sparkle will finalize all stakeholder engagement meetings and have a print deadline of Thursday, May 1st.

The payment deadline for Sparkle Weekend sponsorship will also fall on May 1st, with the Sparkle Weekend ticket launch going live on social media, followed by the relaunch of the Sparkle website for 2025. At the same time, design and development briefing documentation will be released to sponsors and partners.

In July, Sparkle will be entering the final rounds of negotiations for Sparkle Weekend sponsorship packages while continuing discussions for other non-Sparkle Weekend sponsorships and partnerships.

Additionally, Sparkle will engage in trans awareness outreach across various UK Pride events, including attending Trans Pride Brighton and London Trans Pride, as well as local Greater Manchester Prides to promote trans health initiatives.

Who is leading sponsorship for 2025?

Sponsorship Team 2025

Our team is made up of experienced and dedicated volunteers, each bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge from across the sector. We are highly skilled at what we do, and our passion for supporting the community shines through in every aspect of our work.

For 2025, our goal is to raise around £84,000 to ensure that Sparkle Weekend, our core costs, and secular activities are funded to their full potential. This will also enable us to bring in sessional staff to upskill our volunteers, ensuring that we continue to offer engaging and supportive sessions aimed at improving mental health and overall wellbeing in our community.

By leveraging our team's experience and commitment, we are confident that we can make a lasting impact to the Trans and Gender Diverse Community.
